In 10 words or less: How much people paid a company in exchange for goods/services. Another word for "sales."

Definition: The amount of sales in a given period, including discounts and returns. Commonly referred to as the "top line."

StockJargon Advice: As an investor, we usually look for companies that are growing their businesses. One way to determine this is by looking at the company's revenue growth. Strong year-over-year revenue growth is a sign that they have strengthening sales.
