In 10 words or less: The name given to a collection of all your investment assets.

Definition: All of your investments. If you own five stocks, a bond, and have bank CD's, those would be collectively referred to as your portfolio.

StockJargon Advice: When you hear a person talking about his portfolio, he's just referring to all of his investments. If he says his portfolio is up 12%, it means the average return for all of his investments has been 12%.
