Definition: A mutual fund that is open for investors to buy or sell shares in the mutual fund at the current NAV directly from the fund company.

StockJargon Advice: If there's an open end fund, there's gotta be a closed end fund, right? Exactly. A closed end fund allows investors to buy or sell shares on the open market. These are traded like stocks.
