Definition: A mutual fund that invests in a portfolio of securities from all throughout the world, including the United States. Not to be confused with an "international fund", which only invests in stocks in countries outside the US.

StockJargon Advice: Global funds allow the investor to gain more diversification for their portfolio.

Global funds invest in a number of securities, including stocks and bonds. This also allows you to achieve greater diversification.
