StockJargon.com is the brainchild of a young entrepreneur from Momence, Illinois. While working in the equity research department of a major investment research company in Chicago, he found that he was frequently explaining investment concepts to friends and family. He really had a passion for explaining these terms and was shocked to see that there were few sites on the Internet devoted to such a venture. Sure, he stumbled across sites that provided definitions of investment terms--but that's pretty much all they did.

So was born the idea of StockJargon.com in July 2005. The purpose of the site was to not only provide investors with a definition of a term they don't understand but also give them some added insight, as well as to provide them with relevant sites, books, related terms, and anything else that might help them in their quest for knowledge.
